What does the school division do well in providing for school safety and security?
Security desk at each school and must show ID. Also, they scan the ID's. Limited access to kids. School resource officer at every middle and high school.
What gaps exist regarding school safety and security that need to be addressed?
No response.What new resources can be added or what existing resources can be used in different ways to strengthen school safety and security?
Please continue school resource officers that are armed at every middle and high school. Also, an elementary officer that could rotate between a few schools in each neighborhood would be beneficial. Our family would support allowing Administration and Staff in all schools to carry firearms, especially the Security Assistants at each school. Security Assistants should also have some type of "panic button" if they don't already.
