    Other than the front desk checking in guests & practicing lockdown drills there don’t appear to be any real measures.

  • What gaps exist regarding school safety and security that need to be addressed?

    Give teachers more options and tools to use in active shooter situation. Devices to block doors, I’ve seen a locking tool that can be placed on the inside of the classroom door not allowing it to be opened from the outside/hallway. Something to effectively cover their windows...

  • What new resources can be added or what existing resources can be used in different ways to strengthen school safety and security?

    Beyond school safety—more counselors are needed that have the time in their schedules to engage with students more/participating in school activities—one lunches, our school has tribe time/assemblies/sporting events to know students on a deeper level which will identify students in need and hopefully equally reduce student stress/suicide.
