View the final Reid Park Master Plan concept developed with community feedback over the last 8 months. Take the online survey to give input on your priorities for funding future improvements at the park. Having a park Master Plan is important to ensure that available resources are allocated efficiently and to the items of the highest priority. As future/ongoing reinvestments in the park are made, different funding sources will be used, as appropriate, to the project. State, federal, and local grants; private and nonprofit partnerships; and bonds are all likely sources of funding for capital improvements. The survey will close Dec. 19, at 11:59 p.m. Visit the park project website for more information.

About this survey:
In Phase One of Reid Park Reimagined -- May and June of this year -- the Tucson community contributed 2,752 surveys and 21,599 comments about Reid Park. This wealth of information has helped to shape three concept alternatives with imaginative proposals for the future of Reid Park. These concepts are bold and will help the community identify trade-offs and priorities among diverse cultural, recreational, and environmental opportunities.
Community feedback from the Phase Two survey, the Sept. 10 open house, and pop-up events, will focus on the three concept alternatives.
Learn more about the concept alternatives by participating in a special scavenger hunt at Gene C. Reid Park! Explore the Park to locate the 12 BIG IDEAS for the master plan. The more ideas you find and upload to the scavenger hunt site, the more opportunities you have to be a winner in the random prize drawing. Prizes will vary. Winners will be contacted one week after the scavenger hunt ends.
For accommodations, materials in accessible formats, and/or materials in Spanish, please contact Leticia at (520) 885-9009 or [email protected] by Sept. 6. 2022. The meeting site is accessible.

The City of Tucson is embarking on an exciting master planning process for Gene C. Reid Park. Rooted in conversations with the community and a rigorous understanding of the park’s physical conditions, the purpose of this master plan will be to arrive at a design that protects the best of Gene C. Reid Park, while casting a vision for future improvements. A 10-minute, map-based survey, is now open to gather input about how the community uses the park and their priorities for the future of the park. Input will directly influence the design ideas that are generated. The survey will close on Tuesday, May 31, at 11:59 p.m. Community input is a critical component of the planning process, and this is just the first engagement opportunity of many for the broader Tucson community to share their feedback.

Felix Lucero Park: Garden of Gethsemane is a religious, cultural, and historically significant site along the Santa Cruz River, just north of Congress Street in the historic Menlo Park neighborhood. The overall park site and associated paths and gardens were created in the early 1980s to display religious sculptures produced by Tucson artist Felix Lucero in an intimate, self-reflective setting.
Over the years the sculptures have been witnessed to vandalism, and the current park site requires maintenance related to paving, site walls, and landscape improvements. The City of Tucson Parks and Recreation has assembled a design team to solicit a public response to proposed improvements to the park site, interpretive signage, and security upgrades to assist the creation of a new master plan to guide future upgrades to the Garden of Gethsemane.
Take the survey to let us know what you think about the plan. The survey will close on Sunday, Nov. 21, at 11:45 p.m. Read more and take the survey on the website (bit.ly/felixlucero).
