Survey Background:
The City of Tucson’s total budget in the current fiscal year is $2.4 billion. The budget is funded with many sources: local sales taxes, state-shared taxes, charges for services, federal and state grants, fees and permits, etc. The budget tracks spending through several self-balancing funds such as the General Fund, Water Fund, etc.
As we plan the City’s budget for Fiscal Year 2026 (starting July 1, 2025), we want to hear from you. The City Manager is preparing a recommended budget, and the Mayor and Council will review it before making a final decision.
