For the last 70 years the City of Tucson Water has been mining water from the County jurisdictions including Santa Cruz Well Fields and the Avra Valley Well fields for the benefit of City residents. . So, "like a good neighbor" Pima County allowed this without any surcharges or strings attached. While the City has drained the County wells to benefit itself, now for this good deed the City wants to reward County residents with a higher fee! For this many years County residents could have benefited from using the water from their own wells but for sharing with the City it will now be punished!! So like the old saying a good deed never goes unpunished!!! I strongly oppose this proposal and I am ashamed at the at this un-neighborly underhandedness on the part of the current cast of characters at City who have no knowledge of the past good neighbor rapport between the two jurisdictions. History seems to Not matter at all!!!!!!!
