Very Opposed
If the rates are increased, how would you prioritize the use of additional revenues by Tucson Water? Place the following items in order of priority:
If you selected "Other" as one of your top 3 priorities please, indicate what you would prioritize with the additional funds.
If unincorporated area supposedly the bad guy in water usage, then water usage improvement in this area should be undertaken. A joint partnership with residents/officials. Punishment to a select group who is under-represented is not the answer. I'm sure City of Tucson residents would feel exactly the same. Tree planting good idea but that takes tremendous amounts of water which according to proposed rate hike will only further penalize those who try to do right thing. We have enough dead and dying trees/vegetation now.

I moved here from Seattle in 2013. I am now as I was then continually amazed that there appears to be no water rationing here - for anyone residential or commercial or industrial.
Resorts, golf courses, playgrounds continue to sport green grass - water usage obvious. And, of course, all agricultural usage - is this in any way monitored? Even in Seattle where it rains ALOT, there was rationing when needed. As long as it was equitable, people understood and complied.
