Region-wide water reduction and water harvesting efforts - working with the largest users to cut use, curb cuts to water streetside trees, recharging, rebates for water harvesting, replacing highwater plantings with low water demand plants and public outreach and education. Tucson and Pima County government and residents have to get really serious about drought conditions and our future.
Do you have any additional comments?
The Tucson community is much broader than the city limits and not all of us county residents live that far beyond those limits. We are Tucson, too! We contribute to city interests and efforts. We work, we shop, and we spend in Tucson, supporting beloved businesses and organizations with our money and our donations. We are opposed to a differential rate for water for county residents, especially as water is one of the most essential services the city provides, and one for which we don't have a competitor to turn to.
