  • What additional comments or questions do you have regarding the 36th and La Cholla site?

    This area is not suitable for high density housing. There are other areas that would better serve the need for affordable housing. Traffic is already a problem on La Cholla, as there is high density housing on the south side near 36th St. This area would be better developed as an extension to Kennedy Park on the south side (south of the wash) and perhaps single family dwellings under the current MH1 zoning with a maximum of 2 properties per 36,000 sq.ft. Further, development is restricted there by the Tumamoc Plan as it's in a flood plain area.
