Community members are invited to provide ideas and input on how the city can update and modernize the special events and parks and recreation codes. Tempe's Special Events Code and Parks and Recreation Codes, created in 1967, have seen minor revisions since then, but need to be updated to reflect Tempe’s growth, the size and variety of special events, and the wide-ranging uses of city parks. Greater demand for our public spaces means clearer, more flexible and equitable standards and guidelines are needed. An updated code will help us ensure parks remain accessible, enjoyable, and well-managed for everyone.
This brief survey will help us better understand how you use Tempe’s parks and events and gather feedback on ideas for improvement. Whether you visit often or only occasionally, your input is important to us. For more information, please visit tempe.gov/Parks
