As part of the City of Tempe’s Citywide Fiber Initiative, the City of Tempe is considering the requirement of a Fiber License and Right-of-Way Use Agreement to internet service providers. The license will allow providers access to the City’s right-of-way for the purpose of building out networks to increase access to internet services within the City, subject to various terms and conditions.
Read the the template license agreement and its terms at tempe.gov/TempeFiber and then provide feedback below.
After the outreach process, the license agreement will be brought to the full Council for discussion and input at one public hearing. The hearing and vote is scheduled for Thursday, June 27 at 6 p.m. in the Tempe City Council Chambers, 31 E. Fifth Street or virtual. The public can submit comments or request to speak at the hearing at tempe.gov/clerk.
