Sunnyvale’s City Charter is the set of rules that guide how the City operates. Changes to the Charter must be approved by a majority of Sunnyvale voters.
The City Council created a Charter Review Committee (CRC) to review the Charter, gather public input, and recommend possible changes for the November 2026 ballot.
The CRC is asking for community input on potential Charter changes. For more information, and to see the CRC’s work so far, please visit Charter Review Committee | Sunnyvale, CA
This survey asks for your feedback on three potential Charter revisions:
-
How City Council vacancies are filled
-
How much the City Council and the Mayor are paid
-
The City Manager's authority to settle legal claims
