In April 2023, the City adopted a Tenant Protections Ordinance and directed staff to consider increasing the amount of relocation assistance landlords provide. Currently, landlords are required to provide two months of rent as relocation assistance to tenants for no-fault just cause evictions.
We are now requesting your input on requiring landlords to provide three months of rent as relocation assistance for no-fault just cause evictions in Sunnyvale.
