Which Design Should We Use for Downtown Gateway Signs?
The CityLine Project (former Sunnyvale Town Center) includes two new gateway signs. The signs will identify the entrances into Downtown Sunnyvale from Mathilda Avenue.
We need your input on the design theme the new signs should follow.
The developer will install the signs at the intersections of:
1) West Washington Avenue and South Mathilda Avenue; and
2) West McKinley Avenue and South Mathilda Avenue.
Background
The City currently has two gateway signs that identify Sunnyvale’s Historic Murphy Avenue (images shown below). These existing signs are located on South Murphy Avenue at West Washington Avenue and West Evelyn Avenue. As part of a development agreement, the City Council required the CityLine project developer to propose designs for new gateway signs at Mathilda Avenue. City staff will select a final design using feedback from this community survey and the City Council. The selected design theme will influence future signage in Downtown Sunnyvale.
