In 2019 the City adopted the Climate Action Playbook, a roadmap to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. The Playbook lays out six Strategies and 18 Plays that will guide the City toward its greenhouse gas reduction goals. The City’s targets are to reduce emissions 56% below 1990 levels by 2030 and 80% below 1990 levels by 2050.
When the City adopted the Playbook it also adopted a three-year work plan, called the Game Plan. This Game Plan laid out the actions, called “Next Moves,” for us to take to achieve our climate action goals. Game Plan 2023 in nearing completion and the City requests your input on what our next Game Plan should contain. The next Game Plan will be a five-year work plan from 2023 to 2028, called Game Plan 2028.
