What should the next public art project be?

Feedback received from this survey was presented to the Arts Commission at their May 2021 meeting. Commissioners recommended three projects to be considered by City Council for funding. 

1. Functional Art: Permanent artistic benches for City parks and open spaces

2. Whimsical Small-scale: Small-scale murals throughout City facilities and open spaces

3. Temporary/Rotating Art: Placement of identifiable sculptures altered by artists throughout City spaces

Temporary/Rotating Art: Placement of identifiable sculptures altered by artists throughout City spaces was approved by Council in November 2021. The Prefabricated Sculptures Modified by Artists project is on schedule to select a base sculpture in early 2022. Keep an eye out for a community survey to identify a preferred option. After choosing a base sculpture, the City will select a fabrication vendor and release a call for artists.
