  • What specific recommendations and/or suggestions do you have for improvements of the City of Sugar Land Police Department?

    I am very proud of the Sugar Land Police Dept. and how they present themselves in public. My feeling is that they are the helpers in our community. I witnessed compassion when I saw a policeman escorting a homeless man out of a frozen yogurt shop as he had been helping himself to "too many samples". He talked kindly to the man and I could hear him offer suggestions of where the man could find help for food and shelter. Perhaps we can try to get the message out that the police are here to help. I think the red light cameras and other security systems help the police have time to be helpers .
