Nick and Shanna Frenzen are requesting a variance to reduce the required side yard setback from 30-feet to 20-feet for a detached accessory structure. The applicants/property owners received a building permit to construct a 40-foot by 64-foot (2,560 sq. ft) detached accessory building on their 10-acre property located in section 16 of New Market Township. Near the end of construction, the adjacent landowner contacted the County regarding the building location. Upon having the property line marked by a licensed surveyor, it was determined that the building is only 20 feet from the property line and not the required 30 feet.
