Background/Zoning:
The applicant is proposing to subdivide a 63.3-acre property located in Section 33, Spring Lake Township. The applicant has also applied to rezone the parcel from Rural Residential Reserve (RR-1) to Rural Residential Single-Family (RR-2) which allows a maximum density of 1 dwelling unit per 2.5 gross acres.
The 63.3-acre subject property is located in an area which is comprised of a variety of rural residential lots and large agricultural parcels. The parent parcel is largely open and partially wooded. There is an existing house in the southeastern portion of the site facing Lake Cynthia. There are wetlands on the parent parcel, particularly along the western boundary of the site. The applicant has provided a Resource Management Plan for review and complete wetland delineation.
