April 14, 2025, Public Hearing: Axel Erlandsen Variance #PL2025-020

Axel Erlandsen is requesting to undo a lot combination that was requested by members of the Sellnow family in 2016.  The lot combination created two parcels where three previously existed.  The middle parcel that was dissolved included a farmstead that has been in the family for generations.  At the time of the combination in 2016, the home on the farmstead were in poor condition and not livable.

From the applicant's letter at the time of the combination, he was stationed overseas with the Navy and the family was not aware that by combining these parcels that the farmstead would no longer be eligible for a residence. Axel would like to restore this generational farmhouse that was last occupied by his great gandparents, Frank & Anna Sellnow and the home his grandmother Marilyn (Sellnow) Johnson was raised in.
