February 10, 2025, Public Hearing: Lamar Advertising/Billboard CUP’s

Lamar Advertising is requesting Conditional Use Permits to construct two 478 sq. ft. billboards in Section 28 of Louisville Township. The properties are located just east of Hwy 169 and Louisville Road in Section 28, Louisville Township and are zoned Industrial, I-1.
Chapter 11 of the Zoning Ordinance regulates advertising signs/billboards, specifically Section 11-7, which permits billboards as a conditional use in the industrial district along Interstate 35 or U.S. Hwy 169. Billboards may be permitted up to a maximum height of 30 feet and 600 total square feet in area provided they are located 200 feet from a church or school property, 500 feet from parks, historical sites, public picnic or rest areas, and 1300 feet from any other advertising sign/billboard. Additionally, the billboard cannot have any dynamic display or any similar advertising that would be a distraction to traffic.
