December 9, 2024, Public Hearing: Cambria REH LLC Final Plat

Cambria, Scott County staff, Louisville & Sand Creek Townships had a DRT meeting on the request on February 14, 2024.  Cambria REH is purchasing the north ½ of the Shakopee Sand silica sand mine, processing facility and rail yard. Cambria REH is requesting a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) and preliminary plat approval to use the site for a rail served material trans loading & processing facility.  The site is located west of Highway 169 and east of the Union Pacific rail line and Minnesota River floodplain.  The site is zoned I-2, Heavy Industrial and allows a rail served material trans loading & processing center under a CUP.

The proposed plat of CREH Addition includes 1 lot and 2 outlots on 88.18 acres.  As proposed, the rail yard expansion, warehouse and processing facility are located on Lot 1 (66.03 acres).
