The Mission Point project site is located in north Santa Clara along the Tasman Drive corridor. It is bounded by Tasman Drive to the north, Old Ironsides Drive to the east, Patrick Henry Drive to the west, and the Hetch Hetchy (SFPUC) right of way to the south. A 10-acre Neighborhood Park located at 3005 Democracy Way will be delivered to the City by the developer. The developer's initial park proposal includes a natural grass field, children’s play areas, outdoor fitness areas, quiet seating areas, family gathering and picnic areas, a 3000 square foot community room/restroom facilities, an off-leash dog area, informal recreation areas, a community garden, and landscaping.
Public input is sought on the park design, amenities, and program prioritization. The survey will be open from Feb. 22 – March 15, 2023.
A presentation was given to the Parks & Recreation Commission on Feb. 21, 2023.
