Thank you for participating!

We appreciate the community for taking the City's English and Spanish survey for the proposed projects on Villa Terrace and East Bellevue Avenue from January 26, 2024 to March 8, 2024. Based on survey results from 201 members of the community, the majority of participants were in favor of the projects to minimize train horn noise.

  • 90% of participants were aware of alternative routes if the Villa Terrace railroad crossing closed.
  • 66% of participants were in support of the closure of Villa Terrace to minimize train horn noise.
  • 59% of participants were in support of medians on East Bellevue Avenue to minimize train horn noise.

The City plans to move forward with the proposed projects on Villa Terrace and East Bellevue Avenue. Staff are committed to incorporating community feedback into the design process to the extent feasible.

Moving forward, the City will continue comprehensive community outreach. Upcoming community outreach includes:

  • June 17, 2024, City Council Study Session to present an update on the Quiet Zone effort.
