The city government needs to have a little more common sense and use facts to make decisions. I think global warming is a major threat, but the ban on gas appliances is not an effective way to fight global warming. Carbon emissions will be higher for a probably 10-20 years if we go this route.
I live on Lincoln street, and I don’t want it turned into a bike lane. There is already very little traffic on our street, which makes it safe for biking. Turning it into the proposed bike pathway will make parking even worse. There are already a bunch of college rentals with 4-5 cars, and now people who work downtown are parking on our street for the day.
All of the issues above are very important. I respect the challenge you have in balancing those priorities.
