What do you love about the City of SLO parks, activities, and recreational facilities?
My family loves the new playground at Sinsheimer Park and the Blues baseball there in the summer months.

I completely agree with the other respondent that developers should not be allowed to bypass the park requirement like they have in the Serra Meadows and Toscano developments. This part of SLO has no parks in walking distance. Although South Hills Open space is a wonderful resource, it does not replace a park or play area that can be used by families with children. There are a large and growing number of families with young children in this part of town, and the addition of a park in this part of town should be a high priority for the city. Parks have a significant impact on the development of children and the happiness of everyone in the neighborhood. There is also a safety issue that should be of concern to the city because it is very common to find children at play in the grassy median on Margarita Ave with traffic passing on both sides. Please make it a priority to add a park within walking distance of these neighborhoods.
