Continued renovation and innovation in our public spaces like recent revamps (big and small) of Santa Rosa Park, Sinshiemer Park, Islay Park, French Park, etc. What we REALLY need is a better public pool / aquatic center! The current facility is basically designed for lap/competitive swimming, with a tiny nod to the elderly and very young families. It's terrible for family / rec swim with almost nowhere for families to go and is barely open (especially in the Summer when it's prime swim time!). Let's make a plan for a state-of-the-art public facility like the Lompoc Aquatic Center and make sure that families can take as much advantage of the space as lap swimmers and swim teams can!
