Parking in San Luis Obispo, especially in the downtown area, is an ongoing point of community interest. Community members expect parking rules to be enforced and parking facilities to be well-maintained, convenient, and accessible. The City of San Luis Obispo’s parking rates generate the funding required to pay for enforcement and maintenance, as well as upgrades.
To ensure that the City’s parking rates cover the cost of those services while also remaining affordable and convenient, the City of San Luis Obispo is conducting a 2024 Parking Rate Study for downtown parking structures and on-street parking throughout San Luis Obispo. The results of the study will be presented to the public and the City Council in April 2024.
This 4-5 minute survey is one of the many ways we are gathering community input regarding parking experiences in Downtown SLO as part of the Parking Rate Study.
