The City is developing its first Strategic Plan for Homelessness Prevention and Assistance, which will complement the Countywide Strategic Plan for Homelessness Assistance. Since the City does not receive direct funding from the State of California to provide homeless services and programs – our plan will focus on the City’s role as a connector to countywide services, advocate for improved programs, and partner in innovating localized strategies to address gaps.
While the City has identified multiple opportunities to make a positive impact in our homelessness response efforts, we do not have the capacity to implement them all simultaneously. Through this survey, we ask that the public provide meaningful input and prioritize resources they believe will have the greatest imact based on their experience within our community.
