SLOFD provides a wide range of “all-risk” emergency services such as Fire Suppression, Technical Rescue, Hazardous Material Mitigation, Paramedic Level Emergency Services, and Fire Prevention Risk Reduction.  In recent years, the Department has added expanded Open Space Rescue capabilities, targeted Fuel Management, Mobile Crisis Unit, and increased Emergency Management.
