What is your 20 year vision for Sandpoint? This is our first of several community surveys that will guide our Comprehensive Plan update.

The Comprehensive Plan update is an opportunity to imagine Sandpoint’s future - its neighborhoods, business corridors, education, economy, connectivity, open spaces, and all that makes our community a great place to live, work and play. This Plan is a roadmap that pulls together the community’s input, ideas, and values to determine how the city will grow over the next 20 years.  It guides locations where and how various types of development will occur (housing, neighborhoods, stores, restaurants, manufacturing, industrial, open spaces, airports, other public facilities, etc.), creates conditions that support a vibrant economy, and helps ensure the infrastructure is in place to accommodate growth.  Other master plans such as the Parks & Recreation Master Plan and the Multimodal Transportation Plan, will integrate with the updated Comprehensive Plan and have their own community involvement opportunities.

The Comprehensive Plan process is an opportunity to imagine Sandpoint’s future - its neighborhoods, business corridors, education, economy, connectivity, open spaces, and all that makes our community a great place to live, work and play.  The City of Sandpoint is kicking off the Comprehensive Plan Update with this first questionnaire to establish initial Plan priorities and to help determine the best forms of public outreach and feedback going forward.  There will be another set of meetings and online activities in mid November to help identify the important aspects of the community's vision and drill deeper into Airport-related issues specifically.
