To support public health and safety, the City of San Diego is using a data-driven approach to install public restrooms throughout the region. The lack of public restrooms contributes to the spread of infectious diseases, such as shigellosis and Hep-A, and directly impacts the people who use these spaces. The City of San Diego is committed to expanding equitable access to public restrooms using input from community members.
