Please help the City of San Diego create recommendations for a future Cannabis Equity Applicant Program.
California voters passed Proposition 64, the Adult Use of Marijuana Act (AUMA), in 2016. AUMA calls for regulating cannabis to " reduce barriers to entry into the legal, regulated market." To implement AUMA, the City of San Diego is creating a Cannabis Equity Applicant Program. In addition, the community surveys and listening session information will help develop recommendations and policies to drive the overall goal of addressing disparities in the cannabis industry.
The community surveys and listening sessions will inform a robust, cohesive, results-oriented strategy led by the City of San Diego Cannabis Business Division, so your opinion is truly valued. A successful program will ensure we see a more inclusive and diverse industry through ownership and workforce, an expansion of educational opportunities, and address policies that continue to burden our communities disproportionately impacted by the War on Drugs through strategic investment.
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to complete our Cannabis Equity Assessment Survey. We highly appreciate your input, as your comments will help our team create recommendations for a future Cannabis Equity Applicant Program. Survey participation is voluntary. To protect the confidentially of your responses, the survey does not contain questions that can personally identify you. When public input is complete and we have finished reviewing all feedback, an outcome will be posted on this website.
