Please let us know your opinion of the following applicants for the term beginning January 2025 (you may also submit your opinion privately by emailing the City Council at [email protected]):
John Wight
- Provo: Provo resident, owns property in Provo, owns a business in Provo, works in Provo.
- Reason for Applying: My family has lived in the same home in Provo for the past 27 years. We've raised children here, been actively involved in the schools and supported the city facilities, services, and goals. My children are now grown and I have more time to serve my community in helping to solve problems, meet more neighbors, and communicating Provo city objectives.
- Goals: My goals to help improve the neighborhood through service and leadership include facilitating Provo traffic issues--to provide safe routes for schoolchildren to school who may or may not ride the bus; work with local elementary school and high school facilitators to promote important information among residents; to facilitate fact-finding and coordination with law enforcement efforts in the neighborhood; and to provide an atmosphere that is healthy and fair for all residents.
