- Reason for Applying: I want to get involved with how the city grows and give my input.
- Goals: Make the growth as efficient and beneficial to the current residents as we can. Serve my community members by giving a younger voice to the direction of the community.
About the Program - The Neighborhood District Program provides public participation and involvement in Provo City affairs and facilitates communication between the Provo City Council and the public. The Neighborhood District 2 Executive Board is made up of two representatives from each of these neighborhoods: Oak Hills, Wasatch, Foothills, Provost, Provost South, and Spring Creek. Responsibilities of the Neighborhood District Executive Board Members are to --
- Listen to Your Neighbors: Be the go-to person for your community's concerns and ideas.
- Shape the Agenda: Decide what's important for Neighborhood District meetings.
- Keep Everyone Informed: Alert residents about proposed developments and changes.
- Represent Your Community: Speak up at Planning Commission and City Council hearings.
- Get Funding: Apply for grants to support neighborhood projects.
- Organize Events: Plan service projects and neighborhood socials to bring everyone together.
The two Neighborhood District 2 Executive Board Members representing the Spring Creek Neighborhood serve 48-month staggered terms. The current board member is Mary Millar (there is no outgoing board member).
