- Reason for Applying: I will work hard to be a voice and an advocate for the Grandview Neighborhood that increases communication between the City and residents. Together with the City, we can develop policies, projects and initiatives to cultivate a strong, and unified neighborhood now and for the future.

- Future of Grandview Park
- One specific item that comes to mind is the future of Grandview Park, which Mel Smith recently looked into for me--it's owned by the Provo School District and at one time it was sort of shared with the city (the city owns the small parking lot just off of 1460 N near the park pavilion) but at present you can't seem to schedule the pavilion on the Provo 311 website (even though the park is listed) despite our scheduling it once many years ago. The space is large enough to accommodate a fenced-in off-leash dog area and still have plenty of room for other uses (such as a non-sports nature strolling park similar to Nielsen's Grove in Orem) but we'd first have to see if the Provo School District has other plans (they seem to be banking the properly for some future use).
