Thad Brown
- Provo: Provo resident, owns property in Provo, works in Provo.
- Reason for Applying: I’m interested in participating in determining how well Provo adjusts to the urbanization of the Wasatch Front.
Bonnie Shiffler-Olsen
- Provo: Provo resident, works in Provo.
- Reason for Applying: To support community growth, beautification, and social/activity-based programs to build a more unified, organized, and inclusive environment for city residents.
- Goals: Creation of community gardens, enlarging Bicentennial park, increasing social inclusion of all residents through activities that tap the strengths and talents of our people, and encourage both safety and compassion in neighborhoods citywide.
Tana Hoover
- Provo: Provo resident
- Reason for Applying: As a dedicated resident of Provo, I believe my skills and experiences make me an excellent candidate for this position, particularly in addressing crucial issues such as pedestrian safety, ADA accommodations and Community Involvement.

Goals:
- Prioritize pedestrian safety through improved infrastructure and traffic calming measures, I actively attend TMAC meetings and plan to run as a board member.
- Advocate for sustainable development that preserves our neighborhood's character while improving walkability, Keeping a close eye on the Provo Advantage Programs.
- Improve local infrastructure, focusing on sidewalks, crosswalks, and bike lanes, communicating effectively with local residents and public works.
Shaina Robbins
- Provo: Provo resident, owns property in Provo, works in Provo.
- Reason for Applying: I first came to Provo for school in 2008 and have lived here continuously since 2012. In 2018, I bought my first home in south Provo, where I live with two roommates. I have also been an employee of Provo City for nearly 10 years. From both a resident and employee perspective, I'm proud of how well Provo runs, and I'd like to be more involved in helping that continue. I'd like to help represent young working professionals, single people, condo and townhome owners, and renters in our community.
- Goals: I'd love to see the great efforts in recent years to preserve Slate Canyon and the Bonneville Shoreline Trail and to update the amenities at the Slate Canyon Trailhead expanded further. I would be interested in raising citizen awareness about the many services and resources offered by city hall, the library, the rec center, and other Provo city departments. I would like to work with the city to address inadequate parking, a lack of affordable housing, and occupancy concerns in my neighborhood.
About the program: The Neighborhood District Program provides public participation and involvement in Provo City affairs and facilitates communication between the Provo City Council and the public. The Neighborhood District 2 Executive Board is made up of two representatives from each of these neighborhoods: Oak Hills, Wasatch, Foothills, Provost, Provost South, and Spring Creek.
Responsibilities of the Neighborhood District Executive Board Members are to --
- Listen to Your Neighbors: Be the go-to person for your community's concerns and ideas.
- Shape the Agenda: Decide what's important for Neighborhood District meetings.
- Keep Everyone Informed: Alert residents about proposed developments and changes.
- Represent Your Community: Speak up at Planning Commission and City Council hearings.
- Get Funding: Apply for grants to support neighborhood projects.
- Organize Events: Plan service projects and neighborhood socials to bring everyone together.
The two Neighborhood District 2 Executive Board Members representing the Provost South Neighborhood serve 48-month staggered terms. The current board member is Ashley Rayback and the outgoing board member is Kristina Davis.
