Developer/Applicant

Project address
313 East 200 North
Description
Taryn Denali requests approval of a Zone Map Amendment from the Residential Conservation (RC) zone to the High Density Residential (HDR) zone in order to build a new 17-unit apartment building, located at 313 East 200 North in the Joaquin Neighborhood.
The applicant describes the project as three-story above grade with underground parking, 17-unit (67 bedrooms) multi-family student housing. The project consists of two parcels that will be combined. Those parcels currently have a single-family residence and a triplex multi-family building. Due to the age and condition of the buildings, the owner is requesting a zone change to allow for more density.
Status
The Joaquin Neighborhood held a neighborhood meeting on May 26, 2022 and Provo Neighborhood District 5 held a meeting on March 30, 2023. The application has been under review by various Provo City departments and will be scheduled for a Planning Commission hearing when ready. Because it is a zone change, it will also need to be heard by the Provo City Council.
