Description
The Development Services Department requests an amendment to Provo City Code to amend the Downtown Design Standards (14.34.295) and design standards for the Interim Transit Oriented Development (ITOD) Zone (14.23) in order to provide clearer design standards. They would be easier to understand and would reflect a similar format as the section for residential design standards in the City Code. The amendment to the ITOD Zone would state that design standards detailed in 14.34.295 apply to the zone.
Please see the staff report for the full language of the proposed amendments: https://www.provo.org/home/showpublisheddocument/20714/637884850569170000

This item does not require a neighborhood meeting since it is a citywide application. The application has been under review by various Provo City departments and is scheduled to be heard at the May 25 Planning Commission hearing. Because it is an ordinance text amendment, it will also need to be heard by the Provo City Council (currently scheduled for June 7, 2022).
