Description
Heather Llewelyn requests a zone change from the Residential Conservation (RC) zone to the Medium Density Residential (MDR) zone to allow for the conversion of an assisted living center to apartments. This is located at 1988 N Cove Point Lane in the Grandview North Neighborhood. According to the applicant, the intent for the 52 units on lot 2 would remain the same as its current use, however permitting residents of all ages to occupy the apartments. For the 48 assisted living units located on lot 1, the intent is to convert the occupancy from institutional to residential, modifying the existing units to studio apartments by adding kitchenettes and upgrading other elements.
Status
A neighborhood meeting will be held on December 9, 2021. The application has been under review of various Provo City departments and was heard by the Planning Commission on December 8, 2021. Because it is a zone change, it will also need to be heard by the Provo City Council. UPDATE: The applicant has withdrawn the application.
