Developer/Applicant
Community and Neighborhood Services Department
Project address
around 500 W Lakeview Parkway
Description
The Community and Neighborhood Services Department requests a zone change from the A1.20 (Agricultural) Zone to the FC-2 (Freeway Commercial Two) Zone for approximately 75 acres, located at around 500 West Lakeview Parkway in the Lakewood Neighborhood. This request is paired with an amendment to the existing FC-2 Zone. The goal is to allow for additional commercial development in this area.
Changes to the FC-2 Zone include:
- Removes regulation on building height in the zone
- Adjustment to how close loading docks can be to the nearest residential property line
- Establishes transitional setback requirements for properties with frontage on Lakeview Parkway

Status
A neighborhood meeting was held in October 2020. The application has been under review of various Provo City departments and was heard at the February 10 Planning Commission hearing. This was continued by the Planning Commission and will come back to a future meeting. Because it is a zone change, it will also need to be heard by the Provo City Council.
