  • What news banner headline would you like to see about the Broadway Corridor area in ten years?

Economic and racial diversity in the heart of Portland

  • Describe your concerns about the Broadway Corridor project.

As the land use and transportation chair for the Cully neighborhood, I am most concerned about the impacts that the relocated post office will have on Cully. The move will create increased truck traffic in my neighborhood with attendant increases in pollution--especially diesel particulate--as well as increased heat island effect. The Postal Service offers no community benefits to offset these impacts.

  • Do you think the Broadway Corridor project is a good opportunity for you and your community?
    • Yes
  • Why?
Because the City has the opportunity to use increased tax revenue to create a Cully Mitigation Fund, benefitting the residents and community organizations active in Cully.
  • Will you continue to participate in the planning of the Broadway Corridor project?
    • Yes
  • Why?
To ensure that the City creates a Cully Mitigation Fund. Also to see that the project creates residential and commercial affordability for people who are currently being displaced from Portland.
