On May 23, 2011 the City of Alpharetta unveiled a long awaited vision for the redevelopment of 22-acres of City-owned property in the heart of Downtown Alpharetta. That vision includes the creation of a large public park, the new Fulton County Library, a new Alpharetta City Hall, structured parking, and the realignment of Haynes Bridge Road.
Information about the project, including current conceptual drawings, can be found at www.alpharetta.ga.us/downtownproject.
Public input is critical to the process of finalizing design concepts and determining what private development will take place on the site in the future. In the weeks and months ahead the City of Alpharetta will be hosting open houses and public meetings so that a true public discussion on these topics can occur. For now, however, please take a moment to view the available information and then share your intial thoughts on the current conceptual framework.
Outcome: Amended
