Montgomery County has established aggressive goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions that cause climate change, and is evaluating steps to prepare for and build our resilience to the impacts of climate change, such as increased flooding, severe storms, and hotter summers. As part of the planning process, the County convened five workgroups made up of County residents that recommended 850 actions the County, residents, and businesses could pursue related to climate change. The County will continue to work with the public to evaluate and refine the recommendations in order to finalize a Climate Action and Resilience Plan by early 2021.
All of the recommendations developed by the workgroups are listed here. You are welcome to share your comments!
