Please share your thoughts on the proposed improvements for Gunner’s Lake Local Park.

Montgomery Parks is collecting feedback on proposed improvements at Gunner’s Lake Local Park, located at 12671 Grey Eagle Court in Germantown. Many of the park’s current amenities have reached the end of their lifespan and updates are needed. Existing facilities at the park include a playground, picnic shelter, parking lot, and two full soccer fields. Sidewalks and paths located within the park do not meet current accessibility guidelines.

The park renovation project will focus on renovating the existing playground and providing accessibility and stormwater management updates. Other proposed improvements, dependent upon future funding, may include shifting the existing soccer fields south, adding new pedestrian park entrances, a walking loop, new site furniture throughout the park, and other amenities such as fitness equipment.
