Montgomery Parks is seeking ideas for a new urban park in downtown Bethesda.
The Bethesda Market Park project will repurpose two parking lots adjacent to the historic Montgomery Farm Women’s Cooperative Market. When completed, Bethesda Market Park and the adjacent Elm Street Urban Park will provide approximately four acres of urban green space in downtown Bethesda.
Two in-person, community meetings were held on March 15 and 16, 2023 to present initial ideas for the new park. Please complete this short survey to share your thoughts. Your comments will help inform the design of the park, which will be posted for further input and review later this spring. For more information and a recording of the community meeting presentation, please visit the Bethesda Market Park project web page.
Concept plan for future Bethesda Market Park. Proposed facilities include loop walking trails, an open lawn area with stage, a dog park, game area, fitness area, and shaded seating areas.
