Please share your thoughts on the proposed improvements for Greenwood Local Park.

Montgomery Parks is collecting feedback on proposed improvements at Greenwood Local Park, located at 18700 Georgia Avenue in Olney.  Many of the park’s current amenities have reached the end of their lifespan and updates are needed.  Existing facilities at the park include a playground, two tennis courts, a handball court, two full basketball courts, and a gazebo. A multipurpose field is located along the park's north side and overlaps the school property. Paths located within the park do not meet current accessibility guidelines.

The park renovation project will focus on renovating the existing playground and providing accessibility and stormwater management updates.  Other proposed improvements, dependent upon future funding, include repurposing the existing courts, reconfiguring the parking lot, and providing new site furniture throughout the park.
