Montgomery Parks staff has developed two preliminary concepts based on input received at the initial community meeting held on June 29, 2022, as well as the previous Open Town Hall Survey Please vote on your favorite option and provide any additional comments for further improving these plans. While all park users are encouraged to vote on their favorite option, special consideration will be given to residents of the neighborhoods adjacent to the park. The survey will be open until January 25, 2023. Parks staff will use public input to inform a Facility Plan for the creation of Lyttonsville Area- Future Neighborhood Park.
The new neighborhood park in the Lyttonsville area will be located at 2205 Kansas Avenue in Silver Spring, Maryland. The 0.84-acre parcel along the CSX/WMATA train track will be transferred to Montgomery Parks upon completion of the Purple Line as part of the Capital Crescent Trail greenway corridor.
