Please tell us your thoughts on the concept plan above and how it will impact your usage of Long Branch-Garland Park.
I think it is a good plan! Families definitively will welcome additional playground areas for small children and youth. If you have swings or any other equipment that needs adult supervision, signs should help in Spanish and English. Also the picnic areas might need trash control. I would prefer a large covered picnic area for a group - and a couple of smaller picnic tables with grills - if space is limited.
Please share any ideas for park improvements or amenities you would like to see in Long Branch-Garland Park.
NEW BRIDGE: Safety improvement: More illumination at night for the new Bridge and other areas that might prevent suspicious activity. Signs to prevent drug use or alcohol use. Many families use the bridge to come to Rolling Terrace ES. Most of them have babies in strollers. Perhaps a well defined path for walkers, strollers and a separate for bikes could improve safety.
