We are VERY excited about new playground equipment! The rotting wood does not feel safe. Also - BEES! The new bridge is attractive, we all spend a lot of time taking turns to cross.
Please share any ideas for park improvements or amenities you would like to see in Long Branch-Garland Park.
Spring toys! There aren't any spring toys in Seek Lane Park, so it would be great to have them in LB-G. Likewise, I don't think anyone ever uses the rock climbing walls, so I just wouldn't do that. The climbing "trees" aren't really used either. The bridges and tree houses are very popular and the best part of the current park. Ladders are preferred to climbing walls. Swings and slides are always the most popular. Would be nice to have a playhouse or other pretend play equipment. Definitely think a pavilion would be appreciated, just thinking about how often there are parties in the pavilion on University Blvd. Definitely would prefer non-police alternatives for safety. Lighting is great.
