Project Background
Long Branch-Garland Neighborhood Park is part of the Long Branch Stream Valley located along Garland Avenue between Piney Branch and Domer Avenue. The park serves adjacent neighborhoods and occupies an important community crossroads next to the Domer Avenue bridge. The existing park amenities include a playground, basketball court, and picnic area. Montgomery Parks is now working to make improvements at Long Branch-Garland Park to replace the aging playground, improve park pathways, and add new amenities for park users. A project to upgrade and widen the Domer Avenue bridge will happen at the same time.
Your feedback is important to us! Parks staff will use your input to inform the continued design of the park. Comments are being accepted until November 30, 2021.
